Biana Lisa Mashevich

Biana L. Mashevich-Finkel is a senior attorney at Cherny & Podolsky, PLLC. She is outgoing, motivated, and ambitious, putting her dedication, zeal, and tenacity to use in all matters she works on.

Biana has been enthusiastically practicing personal injury litigation with Cherny & Podolsky for close to ten years, has represented plaintiffs in litigation throughout New York State, and is experienced in Appellate Practice as well. Her practice areas include motor vehicle/trucking liability, negligent hiring and supervision, all areas of premises liability including trip/slip and falls involving commercial and City liability, and civil litigation. On the Appellate level, Biana’s experience includes drafting motions and briefs and appearing for oral arguments before the Appellate Division.

Prior to law school, Biana interned with the Honorable Esther Morgenstern in the Integrated Domestic Violence Part in the Supreme Court of Kings County, Criminal Division. Following the internship, Biana began her studies as a law student, where under a student practice order from New York State, she worked at the Elder Law Clinic. While working in the Elder Law Clinic, Biana assisted low-income senior citizens with various matters concerning healthcare, benefits, long-term care, estate planning, advanced directives, housing, guardianships, and neglect/abuse.

Biana is fluent in written and spoken Russian and English, and conversational in Spanish. She is a graduate of Brooklyn College and Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. Biana enjoys traveling, music, and has a great love for animals.
